Company Overview

Contract Overview: Amyx has been awarded a GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract for Management, Organizational & Business Improvement Services (MOBIS), Contract No. GS-10F-0019N. The current contract ordering period is from October 3, 2002 through October 2, 2007 with five-year option periods which may be exercised by the government following the base period. The contract provides for task orders to be placed as fixed price (FP) or time and material (T&M) using the labor categories and ceiling rates defined in our catalog. There is no dollar value ceiling for this contract and task orders may be placed for performance worldwide.

The contract is available for use by all federal government agencies and specified organizations. Executive agencies, other Federal agencies, mixed-ownership Government corporations, and the District of Columbia; Government contractors authorized in writing by a Federal agency pursuant to CFR 51.1; and other activities and organizations authorized by statute or regulation to use GSA as a source of supply may use this contract.

Contract Special Item Numbers (SINs): The Special Item Numbers (SINs) available under this contract provide examples only and are not meant to exclude or limit any authentic management, organizational and business improvement services. Amyx has been awarded a contract by GSA to provide services under seven contract SINs, as defined below:

874-1 Consultation Services: Contractors shall provide expert advice, assistance, guidance or counseling in support of agencies management, organizational and business improvement efforts. This may also include studies, analyses and reports documenting any proposed developmental, consultative or implementation efforts. A few examples of the consultation services available include strategic, business, and action planning; systems alignment; cycle time; high performance work; leadership training; performance measures and indicators; process and productivity improvement; and organizational assessments, program audits and evaluations.

874-2 Facilitation Services: Contractors shall provide facilitation and related decision support services to agencies engaging in collaboration efforts, working groups or integrated product, process or self-directed teams. Agencies bringing together diverse teams and/or groups with common and divergent interests may require a neutral party to assist them in the use of problem solving techniques; defining and refining the agenda; convening and leading group discussions; resolving disputes, disagreements, and divergent views; recording discussion content and focusing decision-making; providing a draft for the permanent record; and debriefing and overall planning.

874-3 Survey Services: Contractors shall provide expert consultation, assistance and deliverables associated with all aspects of surveying within the context of MOBIS. Contractors shall assist with, and/or perform all phases of the survey process to include, but not limited to planning survey design; sampling; survey development; pretest/pilot surveying; assessing reliability and validity; administering surveys using various methods; database administration; analysis of survey data; and production of reports and assistance implementing recommendations.

874-4 Training Services: Contractors shall provide off-the-shelf, or customized off-the-shelf training packages under this SIN to meet specific agency needs related to management, organizational and business improvement services, such as, but not limited to customer service; team building; performance measurement; business process reengineering; strategic planning; ISO 9000 and ISO 14000; quality management and statistical process control; benchmarking and process improvement; and performance problem solving and change management.

874-5 Support Products: Support products are those items used in support of services offered in SINs 1 through 4 and 6. They could include workbooks and training manuals; slides, overhead transparencies, videotapes, and CD ROMs; advanced presentation media and state-of-the-art Computer-based training (CBT); and assessment and survey instruments.

874-6 Privatization Support Services: Contractors shall provide expert advice, consultation, assistance and documentation in support of studies conducted under OMB Circular A-76 or other privatization/commercial activities studies, projects or efforts. These services may include, but are not limited to strategic, tactical and operational level planning support; initial study planning; development of Performance Work Statements (PWS); development of in-house Government cost estimates; development of Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASP); administrative appeal process support; comparison of in-house bids to proposed Interservice Support Agreement (ISSA) prices; and performance of management studies to determine the Government s Most Efficient Organization (MEO).

874-7 Program Integration and Project Management Services: Contractors shall provide services to manage and integrate various management and business improvement programs and projects that may or may not be the result of MOBIS recommendations to a Federal activity. These services may include projects internal to or between Federal agencies; project management that connects and maintains liaison between multiple contractors; and monitoring of multiple projects.

Ordering Instructions: GSA’s streamlined ordering procedures have reduced the government procurement process to a few simple steps. While GSA Federal Supply Service has already determined Amyx rates to be fair and reasonable, ordering offices must determine that the total price is reasonable for the specific tasks required by the agency. The following are simplified procedures for placing an order:

1. Orders under $2500:

– Prepare a Statement of Work of your choice and place order directly with contractor for the item that best meets your needs.

2. Orders over $2500:

To ensure a “Best Value” determination is made, as required by FAR 8.404:

  • Prepare s Statement of Work
  • Send Request For Quotes to at least 3 contractors
  • Review the Schedule Contractor quotes received
  • Consider price, plus administrative costs
  • Select the contractor who provides you the “Best Value”
  • Place order directly with contractor

If desired, GSA Regional Offices are available to assist the agency during the procurement process under a fee-for-service agreement, but GSA is not required to be involved in any of the steps outlined above.

Blanket Purchase Agreements: Federal Supply Schedule contracts contain BPA provisions to maximize your administrative and purchasing savings. This feature permits schedule users and contractors to set up “accounts” to fill a “reoccurring requirement.” These accounts establish a period for the BPA and generally address issues, such as frequency of ordering and invoicing, authorized callers, discounts, delivery locations and time. Agencies may qualify for the best quantity/volume discounts available under the contract, based on the potential volume of business that may be generated through such an agreement, regardless of the size of the individual orders. In addition, agencies may be able to secure a discount higher than that available in the contract based on the aggregate volume of business possible under the BPA.
