Community Outreach

Amyx is a company which believes in giving back to our local communities. One of our corporate quality objectives is to advance the well-being of the communities in which we work and live through contributions of time, financial, and mentoring support. We encourage all of our employees to participate in not only corporate sponsored functions but in their individual contributions to their communities as well.

This year was another great year for our community outreach initiatives as Amyx and our employees dedicated time, money and resources to support local communities. This year’s highlights included:

Backpacks for Kids – DC Metro employees generously supported New Hope Housing by filling 14 backpacks with all the supplies needed for school as well as providing boxes of extra supplies to refill backpacks throughout the year as well as helping those students that may not have been part of the program.

Meals for a Million – O’Fallon, IL employees organized and led by Judy Bratcher participated in this community wide event to produce one million dried non-perishable meals that were distributed to those in need in the St. Louis area and international countries.

AARP Summer of Service to Seniors Meal Pack Challenge – DC Metro employees organized and led by Gayle Rankine participated in this event on the National Mall to pack 1.5 million meals for our local seniors in need.

Hurricane Harvey – donation made as part of the American Red Cross initiative to support those impacted by the hurricane and other natural disasters.

Thanksgiving Donations – donations made to New Hope Housing and DC Central Kitchen to support their outreach in the community during the Thanksgiving holiday.

Food Distribution to Soldiers – Over the Thanksgiving Holiday one of our employees, Eboni Williams-Sankoe, organized food distribution to soldiers. She joined with a non-profit organizationand donated 200 meals to the Ohio National Guard. Not only did she assist in donating food, she also personally donated over $2500 in Grocery Store Gift Cards to the National Guard families in need. She walked around each office handing $15 gift cards to soldiers in uniform and gave an Ohio National Guard program managers who deals with families in need over $600 in gift cards.

Adopt-a-Family – DC Metro employees participated to fill the holiday wish list for 5 families in the NVA area to ensure that those families get not only the items they may need but also those items that will provide a little extra to their holiday.

Wreaths Across America – O’Fallon, IL employees participated in placing donated wreaths on veteran’s graves at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery remembering the fallen US Veterans, honoring those who serve and teaching the value of freedom.

In addition, our employees also volunteer and serve important roles in their communities as coaches, mentors, scout leaders and volunteering in local shelter and outreach programs.

Amyx employees are also active in both professional and community activities. Our employees are members of groups like NDIA, Professional Services Council, SECAF, TiE-DC, NCMS, PMI, and AFCEA.
