Department of Education Awards Amyx an Enterprise Project Management Office Support Task
September 15, 2010-The Department of Education, Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA), recently awarded Amyx a 6-month task with three 6-month options to provide program/project management support to FSA’s Enterprise Project Management Office. This support will include development of Project, Scope, Schedule, Cost, Risk, Communications, and Acquisition Management Plans; Earned Value Analysis of FSA’s IT Development initiatives; Communications Management; and Risk Management in support of the FSA’s Core Strategic Objectives: 1) Integrate Federal Student Aid systems and provide new technology solutions (to include development and deployment of the new National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS)); 2) Improve program integrity to facilitate access to postsecondary education, while reducing vulnerability of the federal student financial assistance programs to fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement; 3) Reduce program administration costs; 4) Improve human capital management; and 5) Improve products and service to provide better customer service.
