10 Amyx Employees Complete PMP Training

May 10, 2010 – Amyx recently hosted a series of in-house Project Management Professional (PMP) certification exam preparation classes.  Over the course of five Saturdays with each training session lasting eight hours, ten Amyx employees (9 local and 1 remotely using our webinar capability) completed the PMP course and all are expected to complete their certification testing over the next couple of months.  This is a credential offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and recognizes demonstrated knowledge and skill in leading and directing project teams and in delivering project results within the constraints of schedule, budget and resources.  Currently one-third of Amyx employees are certified or actively pursuing a PMP certification.

This will improve and enhance the support to their various customers that include DLA, USTRANSCOM and FCC.  In fact, on our FCC project we are looking to have 100% of the team PMP or CAPM certified before the end of the year.

Amyx is dedicated to the continuing education of our employees and believes that education leads to self-improvement and recognizes that the skills and knowledge of our staff are critical to the success of the organization.  Amyx’s professional development program encourages our employees to continue their education in college level courses, seek additional technical certifications, participate in conferences, and join professional associations through a pre-payment or reimbursement benefit. This kind of corporate level support is paramount in ensuring our staff advance in their technical specialities and management expertise so our company stays on the cutting-edge of our industry.
